I’ll be turning 18 in three days! Time flew by so swiftly that I haven’t notice I am already a teenager not until I turned 16. To commemorate the last seventeen years of my existence, I’m gonna list down some memories I’ve had from my childhood.

Barbie Doll

I think most girls have had at least a Barbie doll, though I’ve never enjoyed playing with them ):

My all-time adventure hero of my childhood. I don’t know if you’ve experience getting thrilled whenever Dora brushes Sniper away or danced along with Dora. My bad. At least i learned a little Spanish at that time :O ♫ Come On Vamos!♫

Who would forget the adorable red-head from a European country? I don’t and I think Judy Abbott has been my favorite character while I was still in my pre-elementary. Well, I though know the ending of her story not until May of this month when my sister said to me that Judy Abbott married Daddy Long Legs… Childhood destroyed

#TrueStory

The curtains is almost closed,

and the gap

between  

the               drapes 

seems like a dawn-

in the dark backstage.

The actors are lining

for the final act.

I don’t belong to them,

I longed to-

but-

My skills are not

of their standards,

and so

I tried

I practiced

I practiced

and practiced

I did

I lost…

         … and now the tears well up in my eyes.

They the bonfires-

the reciprocated ones.

I, the tiny flame-

the forgotten one.

They had out shined my light.

See how burnt I am,

To level with their brightness.

I gave my all-

yet i received nothing in return.

Here I am in the dark corner.

Waiting for their ending act to begin.

And as the curtains,

now opening wide-

letting in a handful of light.

My strong flame will blaze,

And someday it will burn their fire,

But today-

I am nothing.

I’ll be waiting,

for the right time,

for my own limelight.
